The South Side Soup Contest is three hours of sampling some of the best local restaurants while enjoying the vibrant business community of South Side. Started in 2004, the South Side Soup Contest is a benefit that supports the Brashear Association's food pantry. This year, proceeds from the event will also go to support the South Side Chamber of Commerce.
Local chefs will be competing for the honor of South Side's "Best Soup" at our 9th annual event. Awards will also be given for "Best Vegetarian" and "Most Unique".

The event runs from 12pm-3pm. Check in at one of these two locations:
WYEP Studios - 67 Bedford Square
SouthSide Works Cinema - 425 Cinema Drive
If you ordered an event t-shirt, please check in at the South Side Works Cinema where t-shirts will be distributed.
Make sure to have your votes submitted by 3pm. Text voting is being provided by JA Interactive.
Contest awards will be presented at 3:30pm at the Brashear Association – 2005 Sarah Street.
We're GREEN!
Not only does this event support local businesses and the Brashear Association food bank, but it is also kind to the environment. The South Side Soup Contest provides complimentary green transportation courtesy of Green Gears Pedicabs. The Soup Contest also uses 100% compostable products. Unlike petroleum based or recyclable products, the compostable products are plant-based and go back to the earth in a natural process. By using compostable supplies, nearly a half ton of waste is kept out of a landfill every year.
