The South Side Soup Contest brings hundreds of soup lovers to the South Side to taste and vote on soup entries from many South Side restaurants. Each year, the Contest pairs neighborhood restaurants with retailers and businesses, showcasing all that the South Side has to offer. Attendees enjoy soups while exploring some of our neighborhood’s most unique shops and businesses. It’s a chance to explore the South Side in a different way, and has become a celebrated and eagerly anticipated annual event.
Guests are encouraged to bring a food item to donate to the Soup Contest Food Drive, which will be delivered to a South Pittsburgh food pantry. The event’s financial proceeds support the South Side Chamber of Commerce’s programs and community service organizations serving South Pittsburgh.
